Small Groups
9:00-10:10 am.
Every Sunday morning we meet together for a special time of in-depth study of God's word. This is an informal atmosphere where everyone is welcome to ask questions and comment on various Biblical-based topics. Our thought-provoking discussions are meant to challenge students to put their faith into action in ways that are meaningful, practical and godly.

Purpose:
Rethink is a comprehensive study of the book of Acts. Many misconceptions and sticky theological issues have hindered people from reading Acts and the outcome has been: a flawed view of God, a large number of believers who don’t know how to be the Church, and a Kingdom, which is never sought. A systematic look at the work leads us to reexamine our views of God, the Church, and the Kingdom. My hope in this study is that we will all have a much more healthy view of God, know who we are as the Church and bride of Christ, and know what it means to truly seek His Kingdom first.
The aim is not to confuse but to shed light on some prominent issues. Ultimately, the design of this study is for us to become more like Jesus and less like the world by understanding more fully the book of Acts.
Background
A brief background for the book of Acts heavily rests in the person of Luke. Luke was a physician and a well learned man, thought to have lived in the 1st Century and very closely connected with the Apostle Paul. Acts is a sequel to his former book (Luke). Much of the language of the book confirms the fact that Luke was well educated in many areas and several political issues arise in the progression of the book. Acts 1 is very closely related to the end of Luke’s Gospel, I would encourage everyone to read the last chapter of Luke before beginning your study in the book of Acts.
Things to look for
The book has three running themes (I’m sure many more can be found), but we will focus on three in particular...
I pray that God will grow His people in the study and exposition of His Word.
